Quick Tip #1: Name your objects/layers/data-blocks

As obvious as this tip might seem, throughout my CG experience I can tell, that project, where everything named and organised properly is more like an exception to the rules. And that’s no surprise, knowing how infinitely lazy human beings are.

But trust me – spending some time giving proper names to your objects/layers/data-blocks will drastically improve your workflow even if you work alone, and, needless to say, it is a MUST, when you work in a team.

Not only it’ll clarify your outliner/layer stack/node graph (you name it, depending on software), but will also allow you to perform quick search by the name or its part, and of course efficiently point out your objects when scripting.

Naming you stuff – is one of the best and usefull professional habits!
